The Checklink has dual functionality. This product from Checkpoint-Safety can be used as a loose wheel nut indicator as well as a wheel nut retainer. The Checklink attaches to adjacent wheel nuts and should wheel nuts start to loosen, will indicate so through the visual and clear bending and deformation of the link between the nuts.

The retaining function of the Checklink aims to reduce the severity of wheel nut loosening and as a result this will reduce the likelihood of wheel nuts from completely backing away the wheel hub.

The primary functions of Checklinks are to:

  • Provide a clear visual indication of nut movement, particularly useful and applicable for commercial vehicle wheels
  • Provide a wheel nut retaining function to reduce wheel nut loosening and reduce the likelihood of wheel nuts from completely backing off the wheel hub
